Police and the Peterborough Hotel (1929)

Having just seen the Call for Papers for next summer’s conference on Crime and Deviance in Twentieth Century Britain at the University of Lincoln (at which I’m giving one of the keynote papers) my mind turned to crime and policing. Here are some of Peterborough’s finest mob-handed outside the Peterborough Hotel.

The conference will be on 26-27 June 2014: click on the photograph for more details. It looks like it should be a good one.
